Let me approach this question by citing my personal experience with learning mathematics.
At the end of my first year in High School, I passed all subjects except mathematics. During the Summer vacation, I made friends with a classmate who was very good in maths but was struggling with English composition. English was a subject in which I have always excelled right from Primary School. So, we set about helping each other. He tutored me in Algebra, while I gave him tips on writing good English and graded his written essays.
So, how did we go about my learning maths? To set off, I bought an elementary book on Algebra, which covered topics from simple equations to simultaneous equations and quadratic equations. While my friend taught me the principles underlying each topic, he made me practice by doing the assignments at the end of each chapter, about 50 questions per day. Needless to say, when we resumed school, I was a completely different student. Not only did I surprise myself, but our maths teacher jokingly remarked that some students had experienced a transformation during the summer.
So, to address the question as to how you can learn mathematics quickly; the famous Latin expression which is credited to the Roman poet Virgil is instructive: “Possum Estes Possuit”.
You can learn anything if you put your mind to it. Maths is a straight forward subject. Start off by getting a good maths book suitable to your present knowledge level. Get a friendly tutor to mentor you. Practice, practice and practice.
