6 Main Reasons Why Youtube Can Beat Facebook Judging from the Number of Users

YouTube and Facebook are the world's leading social media platforms. Even though the statistics from users around the world still rank Facebook in the first place. Meanwhile, in some countries, YouTube sticks closely to Facebook.

There are many reasons people make YouTube and Facebook the most preferred social media for sharing something. However, in the field, these two platforms compete. Even though the dominance of Facebook has not been matched by other social media, including YouTube.

Compared to Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube has the potential to beat Facebook users in many ways.

In this article, we will explain the advantages of YouTube compared to Facebook.

First, the giant search engine.

It is undeniable that YouTube has become the second giant search engine after Google. People start looking for videos about how to use something, listen to music, listen to religious lectures, even sad things, for example, people who want to learn about criminality can learn from YouTube.

Of course, Facebook doesn't have this advantage. Facebook is simply a search engine for friends or community. When people want to listen to music, for example or watch live football matches, webinars, films, people will choose YouTube.

Second, there is no need for registration

When people want to see video shows on YouTube, they don't need to be busy having an account or registration. Registering or having to have an account, for some people, is annoying. It even makes other people feel burdened. Especially if the registration is too complicated or forgets the password, which makes it necessary to repeat several times.

When people will use Facebook, they must register. Even if you have registered before, it also takes time for the process and search.

How about YouTube? Suppose a person wants to see a film, then he simply searches using the keyword film, so there are various options available. We just have to click, then it will appear immediately.

Third, there is monetize for those who upload

Youtube appreciates people who provide video uploads even though it is required to meet 4000 broadcast hours and 1000 subscribers. At least, this will make people compete to upload interesting content.

Because of the content they create, they will get paid. People will continue to explore with interesting works and content so that the videos they make have a large audience.

So, people can become billionaires when they become a YouTuber. This is what Facebookers don't have. Even now, YouTuber is becoming an interesting profession.

Fourth, it does not require an educational degree to get a large audience

People who upload uploads on YouTube are not required to have a classy social status. Most importantly, when what he uploads is interesting, fun, and has benefits, it tends to be seen. So, uploading videos on YouTube does not require that the person who uploads it be famous in the real world. Because what he uploaded was content and not personification or views.

This is different from Facebook. People who have a lot of Facebook followers will be proportional to the characterization of the person concerned. This means that the higher a person's fame, including the level of education, character, or artistic status, the more followers it will have than those who don't.

Fifth, viral potential.

If we look at the uploaded videos on YouTube, you will see a video that has been watched by billions. In fact, many videos have so many viewers.

This is not owned by Facebook. If videos uploaded on YouTube and Facebook are assumed to have the same content, then the viewers who watch will be very different. In other words, for the same video upload, the potential for viral is much more when uploaded on YouTube.

Sixth, the dominant audio-visual aspect

In learning theory, the visual and audio aspects make the brain catch stimuli faster than someone reading a text.

What's more, the low literacy culture in many countries makes the audio visual aspect more likely to have a high selective value.

In conclusion, YouTube has at least 6 advantages compared to Facebook, namely: a giant search engine, no registration required, monetization for those who upload, does not require an educational degree to get a large audience, viral potential, and dominant audio-visual aspects.

Based on the six things above, YouTube should have the potential to beat Facebook in social media. Sooner or later, YouTube should be able to beat Facebook's dominance.
